Hi, welcome to my professional portfolio. I’m Douglas M. Walls and I’m an Associate Professor in the Department of English at North Carolina State University. I am director of the Masters of Science in Technical Communication program and am core faculty member of the Communication, Rhetoric and Digital Media (CRDM) Ph.D. program.

My research interests are in digital rhetorics and User Experience (UX), Information Architecture (IA), and Experience Architecture (XA) for marginalized or underserved communities. My current research interests lie in inclusive design for marginalized communities in public health care information and community outreach.

I am an enthusiast of autumn, wrist watches of all kinds, and my dog, Bub.
